self improvement content consumption

TBH at this point, I have all the knowledge I need to build a good life. I thought about it for a bit yesterday, how much of the self improvement things I consume are truly helpful vs. how much of it is a distraction like any other thing
the exercise diet sleep thing, meditation and yoga, digital hygiene.. none of that is news to any of us
in the end, instead of consuming large quantities of content without internalizing anything (kind of bothered me how little I remembered about every media I’ve ever consumed), i’d like to be more thoughtful & reflect on what i watch/listen/read
there are 2 arguments to continuing to consume tho:
(1) repetition or listening to the same info in different methods of presentation helps things stick, and
(2) the method in which you distract yourself is actually pretty important to how you feel afterwards; it’s better to be distracted by this content rather than fandom wars for example
tldr i will continue similar behavior but still it’s important to recognise why you do things / what effect it really has
like uhh understanding it’s not a new knowledge but rather a thing you put on to reinforce who you want to be
